We only had time to tour the grounds of the Schloss which extend for a mile or more with little cul-de-sacs off to the side. Beautiful and relaxing. The train system in Germany is excellent and takes you to Schwetzingen. To get there, we landed in Frankfurt, took the speed train to Mannheim, then transferred to the local line that went to Schwetzingen--Heidelberg and other locations. The Schloss is about 3 or 4 blocks from the train station and the town is delightful to walk through. There are taxis across the street from the train station if you do not care to walk. Across the street from the Schloss is the town plaza with delightful cafes serving really good food and beverage.
