La Sabana is a decent size park in San Jose. I would agree that it is well worn but it does serve a purpose and lots of football fields, cycling, walking etc. lots of damaged seats.Full review by StephenCr0ss

This is a large park frequented on weekends by the local community. It seems to have seen better days and has been hurt by the recent drought. Not a must see but we stayed near here.Full review by TomCost

Hi there! Around what time did you go for your morning walk/run? I'm trying to figure out from what time on it would be safe for a girl to go running there. I run 5 times a week and am moving to Costa Rica (San José) soon and can't imagine not being able to run anymore! Would be so happy if the park is 'safe' already in the morning.. What do you think?

Hi, yeah for sure is super safe in the mornings. At 5:30 am there are already like 3 or 4 running groups all over the park. So for sure is super safe and also you may see police force all around it. You won't have any trouble, and also go and contact the running groups over there if you want to join them. Good luck!
