There's a new No. 1 in the AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll for the first time all season as Tennessee moved into the top spot and supplanted Kansas following a wild week in which the Jayhawks lost twice.

Syracuse, N.Y. -- The newest AP men’s basketball Top 25 is out and the SEC is dominating the voting. Syracuse learned just how good that conference is when it faced top-ranked Tennessee in Knoxville last week. The Vols are now the No. 1 team in the nation. The SEC has nine teams in the Top 25.

For the second time under head coach Rick Barnes, the Tennessee men's basketball team is the top-ranked team in the country.

Purdue and Oregon still sit atop the Big Ten at 11 and 12, respectively, with Michigan close behind at No. 14. Wisconsin is one spot ahead of MSU at No. 20. UCLA is the final Big Ten program in the poll, coming in at No. 24.

LINCOLN — After wins of 21 and 19 points last week, Nebraska women's basketball moved up in the Associated Press Top 25. The Huskers are No. 24 this week after landing in the 25th spot last week. Nebraska beat Lindenwood 69-48 and Minnesota 84-65 in its Big Ten opener. The Huskers currently sit 29th in the NET rankings, updated daily.
