Eaglet recently hatched on Florida eagle cam 'suddenly' passes away
FORT MYERS, Fla. — A recently hatched eaglet featured on the popular Southwest Florida Eagle Cam livestream sadly passed away Sunday evening. According to the operators of the eagle cam, E24 passed away "suddenly" in the nest at 6:41 p.m. after showing signs of distress.
The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife revealed the cause of death for eaglets E24 and E25 was due to HPAI, also known as bird flu.
