As the final seconds melted away, Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young kneeled down on the Knicks' midcourt logo at Madison Square Garden -- where he has inflicted so much pain and received so much scorn -- and pretended to roll dice as he and his team punched their ticket to Las Vegas for the NBA Cup semifinals this weekend.

The Atlanta Hawks, led by Young but accompanied by a talented young core, simply took over the game in the second half — turning a double-digit deficit into a 108-100 win to advance to the semifinals in Las Vegas.

For a half on Wednesday, the New York Knicks were in full control of their NBA Cup quarterfinal against the Atlanta Hawks. But Atlanta stormed back with a third-quarter outburst en route to a 108-100 win to advance to a semifinal matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks.
