The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has spoken out following reports of a mysterious drone threat in New Jersey. In a joint statement with the FBI, they said there is "no evidence" that the reported drone sightings pose a "national security or public safety threat or have a foreign nexus.

The large, mysterious drones reported flying over parts of New Jersey in recent weeks appear to avoid detection by traditional methods such as helicopter and radio, according to a state lawmaker briefed Wednesday by the Department of Homeland Security.
