Two wins in five days have done wonders for Dallas. McCarthy still doesn’t want anyone to get ahead of themselves.

Mike McCarthy had a huge supporter speaking on his behalf as the Dallas Cowboys knocked off the Giants on Thanksgiving Day.

The losing at home started when the Green Bay Packers beat them in the wild-card round of the playoffs, but before then, they had won 16 straight games. Coming into their game against the Giants, they had lost six home games in a row and set an NFL record by trailing by at least 20 points in all of those games.

From a health standpoint, this season has pushed the Cowboys to the brink. It’s a franchise that’s lost four defensive ends, a starting play-caller, both starting corners, its No. 2 receiver, a starting linebacker along with starters at left tackle and guards to injuries.

The Dallas Cowboys are not having the season that anyone expected that has been around the franchise. Week 1 started with a win over the Cleveland Browns, as the front office celebrated locking down CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott with life-changing money contracts.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has been part of a roller coaster season that has featured more downs than ups through 12 weeks. With his team sitting at 4-7 in the final season of his five-year contract, the assumption has been that the team will move on from his services in the offseason.
