About an hour and a half after New Orleans police reported a French Quarter homicide early Tuesday morning, they issued a correction stating that the shooting actually occurred in February and was re-released to the media due to a clerical error.

Around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, NOPD officers responded to the 800 block of Chartres Street to a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers say an unresponsive victim was found at the location.
