The New Orleans Saints are down another head coaching candidate in their search for someone to run their team. This time it is Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who will be staying in Washington,

The New Orleans Saints apparently had a lot to chat about during an interview with Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

No matter whom the Saints hire as the head coach to replace Dennis Allen — Mike McCarthy, Darren Rizzi, Anthony Weaver, Mike Kafka or a surprise — we won't know how good that person will be for a while.

Moore also interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars for their head coaching position, which was previously occupied by former Eagles coach Doug Pederson, on Jan. 17. He did not secure that role, either. The Jaguars hired Liam Coen, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator, as head coach on Friday.

The New Orleans Saints are the only NFL team remaining with a head coach vacancy, and they are interviewing some high-profile candidates as they inch closer to a decision.

NFL Network reports the New Orleans Saints’ team brass may fly out to Philadelphia to interview Eagles OC Kellen Moore in person as soon as Monday:

Saints GM Mickey Loomis said that the team wanted to get the best coach possible and that they weren't in a hurry. They've also had months to prepare for this ever since they were out of the playoff mix. The new head coach will also be able to make a decision on the coaching staff.
