Honda recalls over 290K vehicles due to software error that could cause engine to stall
The main culprit of the recall is a software error in the vehicles’ fuel injection electronic control unit, which could cause power loss or stalling when there are sudden changes in the throttle opening, according to a NHTSA safety notice.
According to a notice first reported to NHTSA on Friday, the recall covers 272,817 Bronco and Maverick vehicles that contain 12-volt batteries manufactured by Chinese company Camel Battery.
