PHIVOLCS said on December 11, 2024 that it is yet too early to raise to 4 the alert level at Kanlaon Volcano but it is doing “worst case scenario planning.”

Kanlaon Volcano continued to spew ash days after its eruption, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. Phivolcs said there has been continuous degassing with occasional ash emissions.
