Turok: Origins was announced by Saber Interactive and this time it's a third-person shooter, with an optional co-op element where three people can team up to take on the dinosaurs and some new alien threat.

Based on the comic book of the same name, Turok first debuted on the Nintendo 64 in 1997 and spawned several sequels. More recently, the franchise was rebooted with 2008’s Turok, a critically panned effort from now-defunct Propaganda Games.

Last night during the Game Awards, Saber Interactive and Universal Studios revealed Turok: Origins, a third-person co-op shooter that marks the first new entry in the franchise since 2019. Origins doesn’t have a release date yet,

In development at Saber Interactive, Turok: Origins changes things up by ditching the traditional first person view in favour of third person. On top of that, the main campaign can be played fully in co-op for up to three players. Apparently, the player character can use DNA captured from enemies to give himself various abilities.
