Call of Duty used to be a franchise that would stick to its tone, but in a post-Fortnite world, every game wants a piece of the transmedia pie. Starting in January 2025, Call of Duty will get a crossover with Squid Game, the hit Netflix series.

Call of Duty has confirmed limited-time modes and exclusive skins are arriving as part of the anticipated Squid Game collaboration.

Both Call of Duty 6 and Warzone are entering into collaboration with the hit Netflix show Squid Game. This is to commemorate the second season of the program.

Call of Duty has become way more than just a shooter. While the campaigns have more or less stayed the same, including that of Black Ops 6, it's mostly in the multiplayer modes that new innovations and ideas have shined.

There's another Call of Duty collaboration on the way. Following crossovers from the likes of Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Boys, Activision has revealed it's teaming up with Netflix to shove the streaming service's hugely popular Squid Game TV series into Black Ops 6 and Warzone early next year.
