God of War: Ragnarök has won dozens of awards since it was released in 2022, including the award for Best Narrative at the Game Awards that year. Sony is set to freshen up the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers with a bunch of new additions in January. The obvious headliner here is God of War Ragnarök (PS4 and PS5),

The biggest news is that Sony is bringing Ragnarök to PS Plus. The sequel to 2018's God Of War, Ragnarök is a bigger and often better open-world action game that tells an epic story about the end of the world, gods fighting each other, and a father learning to let his son grow up. It’s a great game and its nice to see it make the leap to PS Plus.

PlayStation Plus is adding more titles to its Game Catalog in January, and the list includes some heavy hitters. God of War Ragnarok leads the list, letting subscribers who never bought the sequel continue on Kratos and Atreus' adventure as they try to prevent the Norse apocalypse.

Consisting of around a dozen PS4 and PS5 games, the PlayStation Plus Extra line-up will be unveiled by Sony at 4.30pm GMT UK time on January 15. The games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on the morning of January 21.
