Its a snowy December day in East Tennessee. Here's everything you need to know about how long the flurries are here to stay.

Tuesday temperatures were in the 70s and Wednesday it's snowing. Snow started coming down across the region around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning to the surprise of many. The WBIR weather team says the snow will last through the morning and push toward the Smoky Mountains where there is a Winter Weather Advisory until 2 p.

Snow totals continue to increase in Eastern Kentucky. Some areas are not expected to see much accumulation, while areas above 2,000 feet could see up to three inches of snow. Here are some pictures from throughout Eastern Kentucky of the snow!
