Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla reassured supporters that Jayson Tatum’s knee injury which kept him out of Thursday’s win is not of any concern. Tatum was a surprise inclusion on the Celtics injury report ahead of Thursday’s clash with the Detroit Pistons and shortly before tip-off he was ruled out with right patella tendinopathy.

The Celtics didn’t need Jayson Tatum to blow out the Pistons on Thursday night, rolling to a 123-99 win at TD Garden.

Without Tatum or Hauser in the rotation, we could potentially see some minutes for Drew Peterson, who has impressed in recent weeks when given an opportunity. Furthermore, Jaylen Brown will likely be tasked with leading the offense, which is a role he's been thriving in over the past 18 months.
