The New York Yankees have improved their position in the chase to lock up Juan Soto long-term. On Wednesday, MLB insider Jon Heyman claims he feels better about the Yankees' chances to re-sign Soto than he has before.

Juan Soto, the winter's top free agent, has begun the process of eliminating teams from contention for his services, agent Scott Boras said during Blake Snell's introductory press conference with the Dodgers media.

The expectation within the industry is that Soto will make his decision by the end of the Winter Meetings next week.
