The incident occurred when several journalists and Babu’s son Manchu Manoj, who is involved in a dispute with his father, were entering the farmhouse.

An attempt to murder charge was added to the case filed against veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu over his alleged attack on a video journalist here, police said on Thursday.

On Tuesday, chaos erupted at veteran actor Mohan Babu’s Jalpalli residency. Manchu Manoj, Mohan Babu’s younger son, tried to barge into the residency with media. But he was met with resistance. He alleged that his daughter was kept inside the house.

Actor Manchu Manoj has termed as ‘false and baseless’ allegations made by his father and veteran actor Dr M. Mohan Babu in his complaint to the police. Manoj issued a statement after Mohan Babu’s letter to Rachakonda Police Commissioner surfaced.
