The head of Lucid Group Inc. said the electric vehicle company is in talks with multiple automakers about potential partnerships as it tries to broaden its reach in the market for plug-in cars.

Chief Executive Officer Peter Rawlinson said in an interview on Bloomberg TV that the electric vehicle maker is ongoing conversations with a couple of automobile manufacturers about a partnership. "It would be lovely if we could supply technology to a traditional car company to help them on their way to sustainability,

California-based EV maker Lucid has also started production on its second model, the Lucid Gravity SUV. Lucid is one of the few pure-play EV companies in the U.S., but while this remains true, its production volumes trail far behind industry leader Tesla Inc.
