U.S. stock indexes are rising toward more records Wednesday after tech companies talked up how much artificial intelligence is boosting their results. The S&P 500 rose 0.3% in morning trading to add to what looks to be one of its best years of the millennium.

The well-received results from Salesforce.com are having an outsized impact on the Dow -- the software maker's current premarket price equates to a 273-point boost to the blue-chip index, which remember is price-weighted.

Asian shares mostly rose Tuesday, after technology stocks pulled Wall Street to another record finish. The S&P 500 rose 0.2% Monday from the previous session's all-time high to post a record for the 54th time this year.
