ANN ARBOR — Over the final 1:42 of Monday night’s game against Penn State, Michigan’s Tre Donaldson delivered a pretty assist, made two huge shots, including the game-winning basket, and converted a couple of free throws to seal the victory.

Tre Donaldson scored seven of his career-high 21 points during a game-closing 9-0 run and Michigan edged Penn State 76-72.

Michigan had Penn State’s mood matching the occasion at Crisler Center. The Wolverines held their annual “Blue Out” contest on Monday and pulled out a 76-72 win on a late 3-pointer by Tre Donaldson that left the Nittany Lions feeling blue.
