Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Will Fries is scheduled to become a free agent in March and Pro Football Focus’ Mason Cameron has dubbed the Texans as the top landing spot for the multi-purpose interior player heading into the 2025 season.

Could the Indianapolis Colts lose one of their key free agents to the Houston Texans this offseason? Pro Football Focus recently went through the top 15 free agents on the offensive side of the football and picked the best landing spots for each one of them.

According to NFL.com, the Texans top needs to address this offseason include receiver, guard, defensive tackle, cornerback, and offensive tackle. The Texans currently have $6.08 million in available cap space, according to Over the Cap. Relative to the rest of the NFL, this ranks 24th.

While he did set a career-high in tackles (142), passes defenses (five), and getting his first career interception. It was his career-high 17 missed tackles and overall struggles in coverage on why the team might move on from Speed this offseason.

Teams across the AFC South are making coaching changes as the 2024-25 NFL season winds down. On Friday, the Houston Texans fired offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik and sent offensive line coach Chris Strausser out the door with him (per Ian Rapoport | NFL Network ).
