NEWARK, N.J. — The Flyers won a defensive grind over the Devils, 3-1, Saturday afternoon at the Prudential Center. Matvei Michkov and Bobby Brink provided the Flyers' first two goals. Brink's came in the third period on the power play to give the Flyers the lead. Noah Cates and Tyson Foerster had assists on the marker.

Ersson did allow a goal less than 5 minutes into the third period but Jesper Bratt, the goal scorer, was offside on his give-and-go with Ondřej Palát. The play was overturned on a coach’s challenge, giving John Tortorella and his staff an impressive 4-1 record.

Couturier logged an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Devils. Couturier has three points over his last two games. The 32-year-old center has been stuck in a bottom-six role for a couple of weeks,
