A wide-ranging storm has been forecast to move along the Eastern United States this week, bringing with it the potential for snow, ice and thunderstorms in multiple states across the country. Much of the country has already faced challenging weather this month.

Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories will remain in effect through Thursday night in New Mexico.

Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Watches are in effect for portions of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado as the region braces for a significant winter storm that could dump feet of snow in the Rockies this week.

The National Weather Service (NWS) had winter weather warnings in place for 11 states early on Thursday, with up to 1 foot of snow forecast for some parts of the country. Snow can disrupt travel and lead to hazardous driving conditions. Winter storms can also trigger power outages.
