A thin layer of fog covered parts of Delhi this morning as the minimum temperature dropped below 5 degree Celsius.

Delhi also recorded its lowest maximum temperature of the season, at 21.6°C, which was three degrees below the normal for this time of the year

Previously, the Supreme Court had allowed the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to scale down air pollution measures in Delhi from Grap Stage IV to Stage II, citing improved air quality over the past week.

According to forecasts, consistent winds over the next few days will lead to a dip in temperature and negatively impact air quality.

Delhi's average Air Quality Index (AQI) on Tuesday was recorded at 234 at 4 pm, based on an average of past 24 hours.

Air quality in the national capital once again slipped in the 'poor' category, after a day of light rains brought respite from the high AQI.
