A suspect was arrested in Riverside County for allegedly robbing and binding an elderly victim before stealing his vehicle and fleeing, resulting in a police chase.

Investigators say that the man tied the elderly victim up inside of his own home during a robbery in Cherry Valley on Tuesday. He was arrested a short time later when he was located at a drive-thru restaurant inside of the victim's car that he had stolen.

The sheriff's office says the suspect allegedly demanded narcotics from a store employee at a Walgreens on North Division Street on Monday morning.
