The boy was found safe after being missing for nearly two days. The suspect, Jason Irwin Vasquez, is not in custody.

Brissa Ortiz-Perez and her son Matheo Vasquez were reunited Monday afternoon. It is still unknown how the boy was safely reunited with his mother.
