An Ohio lawmaker proposed to make flag-planting at Ohio Stadium a felonious act, less than two weeks after Michigan Wolverines players performed the ritual after the team upset the Ohio State Buckeyes.

If an Ohio lawmaker gets his way, teams attempting to plant their flags in the middle of Ohio Stadium during Ohio State games will be dealing with more than just pepper spray. Ohio state Rep. Josh Williams introduced a bill Tuesday that would classify flag planting at Ohio Stadium around Buckeyes football games as a felony.

In light of the melee that broke out at the end of the Ohio State-Michigan contest in late November, State Rep. Josh Williams (R-OH) proposed a bill that would make it a felony to plant a flag in the center of Ohio Stadium.
