Michael Lorenzen and the Kansas City Royals have agreed to a $7 million, one-year contract that includes a mutual option for 2026, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press.

The Kansas City Royals have reportedly re-signed veteran pitcher Michael Lorenzen to a one-year contract worth $7 million for the 2025 campaign. The deal also includes a mutual option in 2026.

Michael Lorenzen is a journeyman pitcher, but at 33 years old he's far from washed and he has the stuff to be a valuable part of anyone's rotation.
