It didn’t take long after Alabama’s exclusion from the College Football Playoff before Crimson Tide players started entering the transfer portal, marking the beginning of another shift in the makeup of the roster in Tuscaloosa under Kalen DeBoer.

Transfer wide receivers have a good track record at Alabama. A transfer has been the Crimson Tide's leading receiver in two of the last four seasons with Jameson Williams in 2021 and Jermaine Burton in 2022. Bernard was Alabama's second-leading receiver with 714 yards as a transfer in 2024.

Dec. 9, the window to enter the NCAA transfer portal officially opened, and will stay open until Saturday, Dec. 28. During that stretch, there will certainly be countless players across college football who will officially enter the transfer portal
