Farmers' organisations will start protests on December 2, marching towards Delhi for fair compensation and better benefits under new agricultural laws. Similar protests by other farmer groups will begin on December 6.

Meanwhile, a ban has been imposed on all types of goods vehicles traveling from Yamuna Expressway to Delhi via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, as well as from Sirsa to Surajpur via Parichowk.

These protesting farmers are seeking a 10 per cent allocation of plots and a 64.7 per cent hike in compensation under the previous land acquisition law, equivalent to four times the market rate.
