Could Dodge be back in NASCAR? According to The Athletic, the auto brand is aiming to rejoin the NASCAR Truck Series in 2026 with the goal of competing again in the Cup Series in 2027. From The Athletic: Dodge raced in Cup from 2001 to 2012 before exiting due to financial difficulties and a lack of viable teams willing to align with it.

NASCAR has said that it’s in deep discussions with automakers looking at joining its circuit, and two reports have pegged Dodge/Ram parent company Stellantis as one that could enter as soon as next year.

Ram is expected to join Chevy, Ford, and Toyota in the NASCAR Truck Series as the division's fourth manufacturer in 2026 after a hiatus lasting over a decade.

Dodge is reportedly eyeing a return to NASCAR. According to The Athletic's Jordan Bianchi, Dodge has begun the process to re-join the Truck Series as soon as 2026. The American car manufacturer would then aim to compete in the Cup Series in 2027 or 2028.
